Barclays LifeSkills Intensive Employability Programme
Barclays are extending their free LifeSkills programme to inspire a group of young people who are the most under-served in society, giving them the best possible opportunities and network to move forward.
As part of Barclays Thriving Local Communities agenda the programme focuses on 12 schools in Bury, Greater Manchester.
The aim of the programme is to help students develop skills and gain experiences of work to help motivate them in the rest of their school lives.
Barclays mentors work with students over a 6 month period. The journey of learning is designed to support students in acquiring both the skills such as confidence and problem solving, as well as the practical skills of how to put a CV together and how to interview well.
