Sky Ocean Rescue

Sky Ocean Rescue Challenge is a fully funded, one-day workshop developed by Sky and The Transformation Trust. The programme offers the opportunity for any Key Stage 3 students (Yr 7-9) to take part in the competition.

Students will be challenged to come up with an idea that helps reduce the number of single-use plastic products we use. An experienced Transformation Trust facilitator will support the students to explore the topic and support them to create a campaign using media to enter the national competition.  Students will work on developing skills such as teamwork, problem solving, media literacy and presentation skills.

The best idea from each region will be entered into the National Sky Ocean Rescue Challenge Competition. Sky will choose finalist schools to have a full day session at the Sky Academy Studios in West London or West Lothian (Scotland) to work with media specialists to enhance their campaign.

The national winners will have their campaign video played at the Rock Assembly in Wembley in front of 10,000 people!

Places are now full for the facilitated workshops but you can access the resources here to run the programme in your school and take part in the competition.
